Custom portraits are often used in the corporate sector to honour special people and family portraits add charm and a homey feel to your place. If you are interested in commissioning a portrait, contact Chris via email at chris@thechristophercollection.art or mobile 0429 087 338. Initially he will work with you on its design; meaning composition, size, colour scheme and any other additional elements you may consider. Then the timeline and pricing can be established. Oil paintings typically take two or three months to complete and prices are determined generally by size and the number of figures in the painting. Chris does paint portraits from life but in most cases, clients prefer to use selected photographic references. To achieve the best results Chris takes his own photographic references but it is sometimes possible to use your personal reference photos. With all portrait commissions a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure time in Chris’ painting schedule. The remaining 50% of the costs are paid on completion. If travel and accommodation interstate or overseas are required that may attract an additional fee.
