Chris is an Australian artist based in Tasmania. Classically trained in Florence, Italy at the Angel Academy of Art he works predominantly in charcoal and oil paint. Chris has been a semi-finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize and the Lester Prize for Portraiture (WA) and a finalist in the Portrait Society of America’s 3rd International ‘A View of Self’ competition/fundraiser. In 2024 he was a finalist in both Portrait and Still Life categories of the Art Renewal Center’s (ARC) International Salon; the world’s largest and most respected competition for realist artists. Some of his recent paintings are also included in the Lunar Codex that will send cultural artifacts to the Moon in September 2025.
